BTW, that menu at the bottom is just a picture, as of now it doesn’t do anything. Incase you all are wandering where the graphics are coming from, im actually using the graphics from the psp version, they had every sprite layed out nicely so i decided i would go with that.

After some help from devs at the Palib forums, i fixed the bubble guy from being able to walk off the screen. There is now a barrier preventing this from happening. I have been working with the CarreRouge source code, which has allowed me to have bouncing bubbles! The bubbles are not polished yet and look very ugly but at least im getting somewhere with them, over the next few days im going to try to get the collision with the balls and bubble guy to work. Ill post a pic shortly

Im completly lost on how to do anything right now, i already added and modded things from examples into the game. But now that i have ran out of source codes to read through and learn from im lost. I was about to set up the menu for the game, but when i found a source code on how to construct a simple menu it was like 2 pages long of pure coding!!

After 2 days of learning some coding and playing with examples provided by Palib, I now have figured out how to get a background picture on screen and the bubble trouble character to appear with full animation. So far this is all i have, its only a baby step of what im going to have to do over the next three months. It does feel good to be able to move the character around the screen and knowing that “i made this work.” Ill post a picture up shortly

Yesterday, i decided i was going to learn C++ over the summer. My first project is goin to be Bubble Trouble DS, im basically recreating the famous Bubble Trouble flash game which can be played at www.miniclip.com. It is my favorite flash game and i look forward to giving everyone a chance to play it on their DS.

Keep in mind i have never developed anything before and I know nothing about making games, but i’m learning a lot right now and this is my first step into being a hombrew Dev. Depending on how much i get into programming will determine if this game will ever make it through development.

This is something i want to do, and i hope you will be playing Bubble Trouble DS before the end of the summer.

My plans are to first recreate the game, and then after that if i still feel like making homebrew games I want to try to make my own bubble trouble game and improve on the original.
