DSAmp v1.0 with DSWifi 0.3d
DSAmp, DSWifi April 4th, 2007Here’s my first fix, and it’s for DSAmp v1.0, a handy little app that lets you control Winamp from your DS. I’ve tested this on my DS Lite and it’s working perfectly.
Enjoy!

Thank you so very much. I was messing with the DSamp availible from the website and it refused to connect on my DS-Lite (which I purchased last month). I finally found the problem, which was the wifi. I didn’t think anyone would go about recompiling DSamp with the new library, but I googled it anyway. And here I am with a fully functioning Winamp remote. Thank you thank you, thank you. You’re my hero.

Hmm, not sure what the problem is but this still doesn’t work for me. It’s still unable to connect to the AP. I bought my DS lite about 5-6 weeks ago and have been unable to get any of the wifi homebrew to work…and I’d really like to use NDSmail. Oh well.

Just thought I’d add; I’m using the R4DS card with the 1.07 kernel.

Could possibly be yet another change in the wifi hardware, but I’m hoping it isn’t. Have you tried to get the latest version of Beup working on your DS? Have you configured the first slot in your firmware wifi settings correctly?

Yes I set up the wifi with Mario Kart DS and it works fine with all online enabled games. I did try Beup_Live_0.3e and was unable to connect (as with all wifi homebrew). It just never connects to the AP. I’ve tried setting the wifi up manually in the apps that will allow it, doesn’t seem to make any difference.

After my last post I decide to look at my router settings again. I had flashed my router firmware yesterday and noticed today that although I could still connect with the WFC enabled games, my SSID no longer showed up when searching for an AP in the homebrew stuff. The only thing I changed was to switch my routers channel from 1 to 10. Now all the homebrew stuff seems to work. I’ve been screwing around with this for a week, and that all I needed to do?! LOL!

nothsa: is there a way to edit the default ip to what my ip is? i really wish they would add a playlist feature on this, it would then be perfect! Thanks.

Thank you very much for patching it. I wasted so much time trying to get it to work until i stumbled on this! =)

jaxypoo: The creator of DSAmp made it in such a way that you can only edit the default IP address at compile time. I’m afraid the only way to change it is to change it in the source code and compile it with a different default IP
